Q-Tone Quant
The Q-Tone Quant is a CV Pitch Quantiser but, rather than quantising just to the Western chromatic convention, it also allows quarter tones – the notes between the notes.
Whatever the input voltage, the output voltage will only correspond to one of the pitches selected on the keyboard display. Incoming voltages are shifted up or down to the nearest allowed pitch.
The keyboard display represents a complete, single octave from C to B‡. Creating a quarter tone scale in any key is possible with this keyboard but, for convenience, the scale can be marked out in C, or any other key, and transposed via the Offset Control. This includes keys with a quarter tone Tonic.
